She can’t be a fierce public spotlight person all the time… so while she should be resting, she writes books.
Glitter Psalms was born in the quiet moments — in between the drag, the dad life, the Sunday sermons, and the sequins. It’s what happens when a tired queen grabs a pen instead of a nap and pours out her soul in sacred sass and soft defiance.
These psalms don’t come from a palace — they rise from the pews, the dressing rooms, the hospital waiting rooms, the back porches, and the messy middle of real, raw life. They’re scripture for the scarred, hymns for the healing, and love letters to anyone who’s ever been told they’re too much, too loud, too queer, too emotional, too everything.
This isn’t your grandmother’s book of devotionals — unless your grandmother marched at Pride and kept holy oil in her clutch. These pages shimmer with grit, grace, and a little glitter, because sometimes the most divine thing you can do is survive beautifully.
Welcome to Glitter Psalms. Where the lament gets loud, the praise has a beat, and the divine wears lashes. 💅🏽

Connie Conover is not just a name — she’s a movement. For 17 glitter-drenched years, Connie has captivated crowds as a singer, emcee, impersonator, comedian, and full-blown entertainer, serving face, grace, and high-octane charisma from the stage to the pulpit. With a mic in one hand and a prayer in the other, she’s always the life of the party and the soul of the sanctuary.
Connie got her
But don’t get it twisted — the spotlight was just the beginning.
Connie has spent the last four years pastoring with purpose, preaching sermons that blend fierce faith, radical love, and a touch of holy glitter. Whether in stilettos or sneakers, her pulpit is wherever the people are. Her sermons? They don’t just preach — they snatch wigs and save souls. ✨
She’s an author, putting pen to paper to remind the world that queerness is divine, healing is holy, and God’s love has no dress code. Her words hit like scripture with a sequin shine and a little sanctified shade.
Connie Conover got her start in the vibrant drag scene of Hickory, NC, and quickly worked her way from local diva to regional sensation—snatching a few crowns and cracking a lot of smiles along the way. With a fierce flair for camp and razor-sharp comedy, Connie has earned her title as the undefeated comedy queen of Hickory, NC—one punchline and perfectly timed pratfall at a time.
During COVID, she refused to let the spotlight dim. Connie launched Drive-in Drag Shows to keep spirits high and, alongside a few close friends, helped keep the local bar alive—one honk and high-kick at a time. But her vision didn’t stop there. Seeing an opportunity to merge faith and fabulousness, she began hosting family-friendly drag shows on church grounds. Today, she leads a bi-monthly drag brunch that raises funds for a steadily growing congregation—Unifour Church, where her male persona serves as the Senior Pastor of a church nearly 29 years in the making.
Beyond the mic and the ministry, Connie/Leo Jones-Morton is a proud father, a fierce drag mother to a growing legacy of queens who know their worth, and a devoted husband to the ever-patient, ever-supportive Alex — holding it down for 13 beautiful, blessed, and occasionally bedazzled years. Praise be to love that lasts and laughs that linger!
And let’s not forget — Connie Conover is a former Ms. Charlotte Pride and a former Miss Catawba Valley Pride 👑 and still serves her community with unmatched power and passion. Want to get involved in the movement? Message Connie directly or visit www.charlottepride.org to learn how you can be part of the rainbow revolution.
Connie Conover is what happens when the Holy Ghost meets high heels — a walking, talking, singing, sashaying testimony that faith and fabulousness were always meant to go hand in hand.
Come for the glitter. Stay for the gospel. Reach out. You'll be glad you did. Amen and werk.
